Requirements

  • Active Whatsly workspace with WooCommerce access enabled.
  • Connected Whatsly device.
  • WooCommerce store with admin access.
  • Whatsly API key with messages:send scope.

Setup steps

Open Whatsly and go to Integrations > WooCommerce.

Download the Whatsly for WooCommerce plugin.

Upload the ZIP in WordPress from Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin.

Create a Whatsly API key with messages:send scope.

Copy your connected Whatsly device ID.

Paste the API URL, device ID, API key ID, and API key secret in WooCommerce > Whatsly.

Enable the order workflows you want and place a test order.

Security notes

  • Use a dedicated API key for WooCommerce.
  • Keep API credentials private and rotate them when needed.
  • The plugin hides the API secret after save.
  • Missing or invalid phone numbers are logged and skipped.

Troubleshooting

  • Confirm the Whatsly device is connected.
  • Confirm the API key includes messages:send.
  • Check WooCommerce > Whatsly recent activity logs.
  • Place a test order after enabling workflows.
